Science Museum in Valencia
Science museum Valencia.
We went to the science museum or as it is called here: the Museu de les Ciències.
We went two times. The first time we went, we all went and we explored two floors but did not finish the third floor. My favorite part of that day was the music exhibit. There was a piano, a drum set and a guitar. The instruments were really cool. Then there was this one drum that was connected to a metal tool that you put your hands on and it senses your heartbeat and beats the drum to match your heart. My heart was pretty fast already but then I ran around for a few minutes and it was like a beat every second. It was super cool.
The next time we went it was just dad, Owen and I since mom was in Mallorca, an island located off the coast of Spain. We mostly stayed on the third floor. Though we did spend some time on the second floor to see my favorite exhibit (see more below) My favorite part of that trip was the Mars exhibit or the telephone booth. The Mars exhibit had a bunch of space models and a model of the planet.
There were also telescopes and it mentioned Galileo in a game that they had. I know who Galileo is since we went to the Galileo Museum in Florence, Italy. The telephone booth was not really a telephone booth, but it looked like one. Inside it had two knobs and a GREEN button. The knobs were to adjust frequency and volume. The volume knob made the sounds louder. When you pressed the button, it made a high-pitched noise. When you turned the frequency up it became harder to hear until you could not hear it at all. Owen and I got it up to 19.65 but dad only got it to 15.I learned previously that kids can hear higher sounds so I knew dad would not be able to hear it like we did.
My overall favorite exhibit was THE EGGS! On the first floor there were four decent sized cases with eggs 🥚 inside. The first time we went two eggs were cracked but in separate cages and there were no chicks out. But then when we checked back later that day, we watched a little
chick hatch out of its egg. It was amazing. I of course named him Chicky and I was sad to leave him but I knew he would have a good life because we learned after they hatch they go to a place where they get taken care of. The next time as soon as we got up the escalator, I ran to the chicks to find a sleepy little guy who did not have a lot of feathers and was being ignored by all the other people there because there were cuter chickens. But he was my favorite.
I thought he was adorable and named him Nugget :). The other chicks were fluffy and cute but Nugget chirped at me, so I think he liked me.
Overall, I really liked the museum and would go back a third time.
